HISTORY AND TRANSFORMATION OF DIVINO

Once, Divino was a forgotten area, marked by violence, witchcraft, and poverty. Today, through the power of the Gospel, it has become a place of life, faith, and hope. The Flambeau Evangelical School and the Church of the Redemption of Jesus Christ share a simple shed, but God is calling us to go further.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS BY THE GRACE OF GOD

Since the launch of our mission in Divino, we have witnessed the mighty hand of God at work in our midst. What began as a vision in the heart has been transformed into a living work that impacts lives every day.

1. Evangelism and Crusades

Driven by the love of Christ, we have organized several evangelistic crusades, entirely funded from our own resources. These times of proclaiming the Gospel have led hundreds of people to faith in Jesus Christ, bringing healing, deliverance, and restoration to many families.

2. Land Acquisition

By the grace of God and with faith as our driving force, we were able to purchase land in Divino to establish a church, a school, and a pastoral residence. This place has become a gathering center and a beacon of hope for the entire community.

3. Pastoral Housing

Recognizing the importance of having a shepherd close to his flock, we also acquired a house to accommodate the pastor within the community of Divino itself. This ensures a constant presence, close spiritual care, and a strong bond between the church and the local population.

4. Construction of a Worship Space

When the Lord began His work in Divino, there was no building available for the church to gather. By faith, and with the contributions and efforts of the believers, we built a simple hangar on the land God had provided. This structure, though modest, was adapted to create a welcoming space where the community could come together to worship God, hear His Word, and pray. We invested time and resources to make this place functional—arranging benches, setting up a pulpit, and creating an environment where hearts could be lifted toward Heaven. From the very first Sunday service under that roof, songs of praise replaced the cries of despair, and the presence of God filled the air. This hangar became not just a shelter, but a holy place where lives are transformed.

WHAT THIS REALLY MEANS

In Divino, every achievement is more than just a building, more than a bench, or a roof resting on pillars. It is a story of a changed life, a soul saved, a family restored.
Where fear and hopelessness once reigned, the Gospel has taken deep root. Today, songs of praise replace cries of distress, and the light of Christ shines where darkness once seemed invincible. These walls, these benches, this school… all of them are only the visible shadow of an invisible reality: God is working powerfully in Divino.

Each step forward declares that God does not abandon us. It reminds us that when His people dare to believe and obey, heaven opens and resources flow. What is happening here is living proof that faith, joined with action, can change the course of an entire community.

OUR URGENT NEEDS – ACT NOW

A. Build a School Building

The Flambeau Evangelical School was launched last year with 133 enrolled students. This year, we have already received a large number of new registrations, and we have the capacity to double the student body. Currently, our classes are held in a hangar shared with the church. We dream of a solid, fully equipped building where every child can learn in a safe and suitable environment.

B. Support Our Teachers

We urgently need funds to pay our teachers. We are not asking for sponsorship of one or more individual students—that is not our goal. Our vision is collective: to secure the annual budget so that all children in Divino can continue their education.

C. Build a Place of Worship

Objective
Our vision is to free up the space currently used by the school so that the church can develop fully. This means providing a dedicated place where we can hold Sunday school, offer Bible training, mentor the youth, and welcome new converts in the best possible conditions.
The Redemption Church of Jesus Christ of Divino is experiencing extraordinary growth, far beyond what we could have imagined. Rather than simply expanding the hangar, we believe it is time to build a true house of prayer and worship for our God.

D. Drill Three Water Wells

Objective

Our goal is simple yet vital: to provide clean drinking water to the entire Divino community. This will improve public health, strengthen hygiene, and save precious hours each day for families who currently have to walk long distances to find water.
In Divino, the water problem is extremely serious. Access to a clean and permanent water source is not just a matter of comfort, but of survival.

LIGHT AND SALT IN ACTION

Jesus Christ told us in Matthew 5:13-14 that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Divino is a place where we can put these words into practice, demonstrating through concrete actions the love and compassion of God. When the Gospel enters an area, it is light that enters. And this light is manifested not only through the proclamation of the Word but also through acts that meet people real needs.

WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY DONE… AND WHAT HE STILL WANTS TO ACCOMPLISH
In Divino, what we are experiencing is not merely a series of completed projects—it is the living story of the power of the Gospel.

The Flambeau Evangelical School, currently in the process of official recognition by the Haitian State, is already a beacon of hope for 133 children who are learning not only to read and write but also to walk in the light of Christ. Soon, this recognition will open new doors for their future—a future that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.

In only four campaigns, 47 couples have been united in marriage, putting an end to years of family disorder and building strong homes on the rock of God’s Word. These unions are the symbol of a community regaining its dignity and alignment with God’s divine plan.

And most moving of all: a spiritual awakening has risen over Divino. The sick have been healed, captives set free, and men and women have been snatched from the deepest darkness. People who were once prisoners of the devil—so bound that they felt their souls held in the invisible realm—are now standing, transformed, and proclaiming the victory of Jesus Christ.
